Hannibal, Missouri – Fall 2023
Last fall, I made a weekend trek to Samuel Clemens’s original stomping ground, Hannibal, Missouri, to meet up with some friends, including one of my raftmates from the journey of the Eulenspiegel down the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers in 1981. Mr. Clemens (pen name “Mark Twain”) permanently ensconced the Mississippi River into American folklore.
